When you consider that the characters in PG were in their twenties by
series 5, it's hardly surprising that another series was not commissioned.
PG simply had outgrown it's timeslot, in my opinion. Not that I wouldn't
have loved to see it continue. For those viewers Down Under (if I may
use that phrase ?) PG was shown in the UK at 4:40 pm , right in the middle
of children's telly. I believe PG has always been shown at 6pm ish in
Australia, which is a slightly older timeslot.
