Hi all,

I can't believe I've been on the list so long yet have never got around to
asking this question...

In "The Last Word" (part ... umm... two, I think), there is a line when the
newsteam are saying stuff to the gunman along the lines of "what are you
going to tell your mother to explain all the police around you?" (sorry...
can't be much more specific from memory, and if I get the tape out I will
fall asleep before I find the right spot :)). Anyway, Spike then delivers
the line "...or the thin blue line is a ***** *****". I have never been
able to figure out what the hell the last words of that phrase are. At the
risk of looking incredibly silly (gee, Murray, that'd be odd :) ), I will
tell you that to me it sounds like ..."thin blue line is a whinel word"
(okay, I didn't say that it made sense, I said that's what it *sounded* like).

Can anyone help me out with my long-standing proponderance?

Murray

PS I will try to find the specifics of the scene tomorrow if you are all
bewildered as to where I am referring to...
