According to the Programme Guide, he had a dispute with the producers over the
direction his character was taking and left for that reason.

Danny moments are few and far between, but I'd also suggest DEADLINE (where he's
Colin's assistant in trying to get Tommy Anderson's photo) and he also delivers
the set-up line in ONE EASY LESSON about killing butterflies that Sarah responds
to with "I'm a writer. I'll make it sound better."
