I think that perhaps the thing to remember is that it *is* the first episode and so there would have been a lot of exposition in it; the first episode of PG would not be the one I'd choose to introduce a friend to the series. Once the characters have established themselves, I think it could be really great. Anyone who went to the 2nd PG convention would have seen the pilot of this.... my favourite bit was missed out of the one shown today.... there's a bit where the girl is talking about the Internet, and tells her mum that the 200 phone calls she's just made to the radio station will be charged to Bill Clinton's 'phone bill. As soon as her mum goes out she says, "Adults will believe anything about the Internet!" That just stuck in my mind (my father was easily gulled in the good old days....) but it seemed to have been edited from today's ep. Maybe it'll appear later.
